I’m R. Saravanan, a freelance Pine Script developer helping traders across India and beyond bring their trading strategies to life on TradingView. With a background in Python and Django, I write clean, efficient Pine Script code tailored to your needs.

🚀 How I Got Started (My Trading Journey)

Back in 2010, a friend introduced me to Forex trading. Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing — just like many new traders. I literally used to toss a coin and take trades. Sometimes I got lucky, sometimes not. I had no clue about technicals, price action, or even whether Forex was legal in India.

Eventually, I found out that Forex trading wasn’t legally allowed in India — at least the way I was doing it — and I didn’t have anyone to confirm it with either. So I simply left trading.

Years passed, and in 2017, I got interested again — this time through stocks and mutual funds. That slowly led me into MCX trading, especially crude oil. But again, I didn’t really have a system. It was more of intuition-based trading. Sometimes it worked, but when it didn’t — the losses were painful.

Then I came across indicators.

That’s when things started to change. I began experimenting with different indicators, trying combinations, tweaking settings. You name it — I tried it. But since I was using a free TradingView account at the time, I couldn’t add too many indicators on a single chart.

That’s when my IT background came in handy.

I thought — why not combine the indicators into one using Pine Script?

So I started coding my own custom indicators. It was tough in the beginning, but the logic clicked fast for me. And soon, I was building whatever I needed — my own strategies, overlays, backtests. Eventually, I began publishing some of my indicators on TradingView for others to use as well.

That’s when something interesting happened — people started reaching out to me. Traders began asking if I could create custom Pine Script indicators or strategies for their ideas.

At first, I used to say no. I didn’t see myself doing it as a service.

But over time, I gave it a try — just to help out — and started charging a small fee.

What began as a small side thing has now become my full-time passion.

Since then, I’ve built over 250+ Pine Script indicators, strategies, and tools, helping traders across India and beyond turn their ideas into working code on TradingView.
